LISTEN SAMPLES OF OUR STRING TRIO.
An ensemble consists of two violins and a cello. This is perfect for most weddings. It provides full harmonies accompanying the melody and has a rich and bold tone.
A string trio will require a space of 8×6 feet. The Duo requires 6×4 feet. The string quartet requires 8×8 feet.
When you hire a string trio for your wedding, you are probably expecting it to be slightly less expensive than a String Quartet. And so it is. Naturally, the pricing is based on the number of musicians you hire and the number of hours you want them at the venue. You can expect that a String Trio will be about 3/4 of the price of the String Quartet. But before you have chosen this ensemble, make sure you consider the size of your venue. In a small church, a big group of musicians probably will sound overwhelming. On the other hand, if you’re in a big venue, a solo violin definitely won’t be enough. Think about this. Imagine your recessional music. One to two hundred guests are cheering you with a round of applause. Will you be able to hear your song? Larger weddings such as 150 guests or more will benefit from the increased volume that a string trio or string quartet can provide. Think about that surround sound that we all love so much when watching a good quality movie.
